7-11-08- A Big Thank you to Kathy Ziegler and Hope Lutheran Church for inviting, Cecely & JoJo, the donkeys to the bible school program. The childen and adults really enjoyed the visit this year in Cherryville. The people at the church were very generous with monetary and food donations for all the animals.
 
7-10-08 Another big "thank you" goes out to Miss Molly, Barb, Dustin, Melissa, Polly, Kiran, Julie, Caitlin, Kathy V., Miss Jen,Quinn, Lee, who have really been "digging in their heels" helping the animals-Clarence, turkey, Teagan Alpaca, Rocky, Pyr, Sundance, horse, Samson, goat, with the multiple medical problems, that this group has had in the past week...all at one time!  All of you, and of course, Ben Gress, loving husband, have been going "above & beyond" helping care for the therapy animals at the ranch! Kudos to you all, I COULD NOT HAVE DONE THIS WITHOUT YOU! !!!  I am truly blessed....KG
 

06-22-08 Thanks to Brent, Bill, Jeff, and my husband, Ben, who worked long and hard to get the roof completed for the alpacas.  Great job for Brent's Eagle Project.  The "Alpaca Palace", is really quite beautiful, and Andrew really enjoys it, along with all the rest of the animals. 06-19-08-A Huge "Thank You!" goes out to Darren Still, who has donated 200lbs of Platform-Senior Horse grain, and two nice containers of ''Carrot & Oat Treats" for the horses, and Timothy hay for the rabbits.  Darren, also, has come out after his "work" day, and fed all the horses. Thank you, Darren, You are our "Special Horse Angel" for Sundance, Dede, Elle, JoJo, & Cecely .KG
 
06-14-08 Thank you to Julia, Catlin, Miss Polly, and Julia's family who helped out with Samson, Chili, the rabbit, Pearl & LeRoy Piggy, at the Quakertown Vet Clinic Fair.  Fun time for all, Samson, stole the show, with his "American Cowboy goat costume, and won 3rd place for his entry.  Pearl Piggy, got 2nd place as "little Miss Muffet."  LeRoy Piggy, wagged his tail nostop to the people and "worked" the crowd for TGMR!
 
06-14-08 Thank you to Boy Scouts Troop 72 Fogelsville, "Eagle Scout project for Brent Baade and all the scouts, Troop leaders: Bill, Ken, Robin, John, and Sharon and Scouts, Andrew, Jeff, Alex, Ryan, , especially our "project manager" Brent Baade. Dedicated Hard working folks, Bless all of you for helping the animals at The Gress Mountain Ranch. June 5, 2008, Darren Still, Thanks for your generous donation of 30lbs of delicious California carrots for the animals, 50lbs of alpaca/llama pellet food, and 3lbs of Timothy Hay for both Chili & Ratchet Rabbits!
 
June 4, 2008-A Great Big "Thank You" goes out to Amanda Kling-who put out an message on "craigslist" to sponsor an animal.  Amanda has pick up from Al's farm in Bangor, Pa. some alfalfa mixture hay, donated the hay for the "horses" at TGMR.  Amanda, made Kathryn's anniversary day, even more special!  Thanks for your kindness, Amanda, visit us soon!   KG
 
June 2nd " Thank You" to Jennifer Rex, my psychology intern from Chestnut Hill College with "El Gato" the barn cat. Jen has been helping at The Gress Mountain Ranch, and mentoring under the direction of Kathryn Gress, in counseling sessions at the "therapeutic ranch", helping people with "mental fitness."  (photo in TY album)
 
May 23-May 26, 2008--Thank you to  the unannounced person, who purchased a plane ticket for Kathryn to fly to Texas, to see her family and go to her nephew's, "Nick's" graduation.  Kathryn had not see her family in over 10yrs, in Texas!  During that time, Kathryn's loving husband, Ben, stayed home and took care of 28 therapy animals.  Helping Ben, manage and care for the ranch and the animals were: Polly, Molly, Melissa, Donna, and Georgine!   Ladies each and everyone of you, did a tremendous job, and it put Kathryn's mind at ease, knowing you were helping Ben with all the animals!  We are very fortunate to have you on our team!

May 15, 2008-A Big Thank you to Joysa Winter from Havertown, Pa. who donated some adult and children gardening tools, complete with a variety of both children & ladies, gardening gloves too!  Joysa, and The Jewish Community Center helped to landscape and plant some flowers on May 4th.  Thanks so much, gardening "never looked so good!." May 14, 2008-"Thank You" Loretta, for helping out with the Service Electric Cable TV presentation.  Here is Loretta, getting "back to her roots" of farm life, engaging with Randy & Rascal Goats.  Loretta, gives "TLC" to the goats today.  Thanks for all your super promotion of the Animal-Assisted Therapy program...You're the Best Loretta! May 2nd Mosser Elementary School visit, thank you to Polly for the laughs and the awesome job working with Pearl. 4-26-08 Thank you to Lehigh 4-H vet science club with Dr. Marie Weber, Peter, Zach, Marie, Kristine,Lily and Sean who were helpful rounding up and handling the alpaca and goats so Ben could de-worm them. (photos in T.Y. album)

April A Huge Thank you goes out to the"many generous people" who donated for Elle, for the new shed built by Dave & Hillside Structures from Herndon, Pa.! Elle's new run in shed is up. (photos in T.Y. album) We are truly blessed to have all you wonderful people supporting the ranch and all the therapy animals. 

March 29th 2008-"A Big Thank You" for the volunteers that help make the Mind/Body Connections: Animal-Assisted Therapy Presentation and the table display at LVH -Muhlenberg for the APNA-Pa conference, a "wonderful" success!
Thank you Polly, for creating a super power-point presentation" Last minute", that was well received by all!  To Loretta, for her "heartfelt" testimony of her "life experiences" with Brutus , AAT, and her personal power story!  Loretta has the "WOW" factor.
Thank you to Polly and Don, for the skilled pig handling of Pearl & LeRoy Piggy, Thank you to Trish, a new junior volunteer for helping with the animals, and hand out fliers to the audience..Thank you, Betty, for managing the table, and coming up with creative ideas to share our mission! .Thank you Ben, my loving husband for your "endless" support, working with Rocky, and all the animals.!  I couldn't do it without all of your grand support, thanks for promoting the human-animal Bond!
 
March 30, 2008, A huge success was the Allentown St. Patrick's Parade-a Heartfelt "Thank you" goes out to Loretta, for handing out fliers to interested folks, Donna and Molly for handling Andrew Alpaca, Frankie and Julia, helping ease "Miss Kayla's worries", and help her strut her stuff!  Jennifer, Mary, and Carla, mothers of girls, (scouts and church) who showed great role modelling by walking Jo Jo & Cecely in the parade. Thank you Miss Jessica, "our official "sign" holder for the crowd, and Journey and Chopper, who helped out along with the girls from the scout troop! Fred, thanks for helping the crowd of West End Allentown, to learn about the "WoW factor in Rocky!
 

2-22-08 Thank you to all of you folks that have donated in the past week!  The Gress Mountain Ranch, animals have a good supply of Cheerios and Shredded Wheat, Oaks, bread, dry cat and dog food. We are still in need of applesauce, Pepto Bismol, Apples, tomato juice, and carrots....
 
2-20-08-"Thank You! to the Good Shepherd Rehab Center, where Nancy, Kathy, Heather, Patty, and Carolyn donated some bird treats, timothy hay for the rabbits, Rocky & Kayla dog treats, and cat treats on Kathryn's Birthday! 
 
02-17-08--A Big "Thank You!" goes out to John Henderson, from Nutro Products, who again, donated a variety of dog/cat dry food, for the "therapy" animals at The Gress Mountain Ranch.  We "love" your Nutro Products, John, thanks for your generosity!
