Meet Caitlin
Caitlan was the spotlight volunteer for the month of september 2008.
Caitlin's autobiography:
I am a resident of Bethlehem, PA and I am
going into my freshman year of high school. Since I am a pet owner I wanted
to fulfill my community service somewhere where animals were involved.
Therefore, I have been volunteering at Gress Mountain Ranch. Since I have
been going to the ranch I have had the opportunity to learn many new ways to
care for the loving animals there. I recommend volunteering at Gress
Mountain Ranch if you love animals, volunteering, or just want to do
something for the community. I assure you that by volunteering at Gress
Mountain Ranch you will make many friends, both human and animal alike.
Below 08-02-08-The Gress Annual
Yard Sale-where both Caitlin (left) and Julia, are taking some of the
"girl scouts" for a donkey cart ride! Cecely & JoJo, the
donkeys, did learn that donkey cart rides can be FUN! All the young girls
really enjoyed that day, thanks to both Caitlin and Julia! At this time,
I acknowledge both of you lovely young ladies, changing the lives of these
animals & people, with your "giving and caring" actions that
bring such value to all these experiences!
Below, Miss
Caitlin, who has come on a short term basis to volunteer and give
back to the animals. However, in Caitlin's time at The Gress Mountain Ranch,
she has extended herself with both lifting up of both people & animals.
Here, Caitlin is with Sean, a new junior volunteer, just getting to
know the animals. They are, helping hold the donkeys-- Cecely & JoJo
while Jim Kindred, our farrier, trims the donkey's hooves,
Caitlin, is most comfortable with "garderning" and that is her
"element." Cailtin, has done nice work with the flowers, and
the "mulch" area. Cailtin, too has assisted Kathryn & Ben, at
the "annual" yard sale, and the Quakertown Fair. Caitlin has
been very flexible with multiple tasks related to handling many of the animals
at high PR events!
